Pre-Bent Directional Flow Tubing

Reed Rubber Products has been in business since 1922 and has served the HVAC market for most of those years. Our pre-bent directional flow tubing solves the clogging problems associated with traditional plastic tubing.  Specifically, leading HVAC and refrigeration manufacturers were experiencing issues because drainage tubes were getting kinked and restricting the flow of fluids.  Ultimately, this problem was damaging units and creating major quality problems.

Through the development of an innovative, secondary vulcanization process, Reed Rubber Products was able to create permanently set bends within these thermoplastic rubber tubes.  The result was a pre-bent tube that fit into the product assembly more effectively and eliminated any risk of fluid back-up due to kinking thereby protecting and extending the life of HVAC systems.

Since the process did not require expensive tooling, it also turned out to be a much more cost effective solution than injection molding a bent tube.  Directional flow tubing is now available in rigid or flexible material to meet the specific requirements for your particular application.

Applications

While HVAC and refrigeration tubing are some of the most common applications, any tube, profile, or TPR extrusion that requires a permanently set curve or angle may benefit from this process.
